Hello all~In the interests of Fashion Wars both to benefit myself and others I thought it might be nice to have a thread where we could discuss all the new armor and weapons that have so far been released in PoF, and how to go about actually acquiring them. I am going to put all the information I currently have into this top post, and would appreciate anyone either contributing to the post in a reply, or correcting me if you see I have something wrong or written in a confusing manner. Because of the new forums I will be unable to edit the original post after 15 minutes of its creation, so I will instead be quoting this one and making any significant changes in future replies so be sure to skim through to see if anything has been added. On that note I'll continue on:
Bounty Hunter Armor:Light, Medium, HeavyThe recipes for this armor set can be purchased from Priory Historian Elisa, a merchant who moves to a different map each week apparently. At the time of this post, she is currently in the Crystal Oasis map, located on a cliff [here] by the Temple of Kormir WP. When I visited her, she only permitted me to buy the recipe for the shoulders, but based on something I heard from another player who said they bought the gloves recipe from her, I believe she might sell a different recipe each week. When I spoke to her and went through her dialogue, it lets you ask her where she thinks she'll be going next, and the first part of her response was "Definitely the Riverlands. The amount of history there is downright inspiring." so we can assume this will be her new map in the coming week.
Warbeast Armor:Light, Medium, HeavyAs of yet I have not discovered where the recipes for these armor sets are acquired from, however I have seen that the recipes and some of the components needed to make them are listed on the TP at the moment so if anyone out there knows how to acquire them, this information would be beneficial to those who have yet to discover them though if you have the money to throw at it you can always buy it off the TP I suppose.
Elonian/Spearmarshal:Light, Medium, Heavy / Light, Medium, HeavyThis set I also do not have much information currently about, all I am aware of at the moment is that you get boxes for the Elonian Armor throughout the story, however I have yet to come across the Spearmarshal set. I placed these two under the same category as the Spearmarshal set essentially seems to be an upgraded form of the Elonian set.
Funerary Armor/ Weapons:Light, Medium, HeavyGreatsword, Staff, ShieldI only included a few of the weapons above, just to make people aware of what set I was talking about. These armor and weapons pieces are sold by an NPC called the Primeval Stewart in the Tomb of Primeval Kings, in the NE corner of the Desert Highlands map. When you enter the tomb he will be in the first room on the left, however he wont offer to sell you anything until you've completed the achievement "Last Rights" and been awarded the title "Primeval Scion" and the item "Book of Awakening to Light." After you've done this when speaking to the Stewart he'll offer to show you the Primeval Armory, where you can see the Funerary Weapons, Funerary Armor Boxes, and 3 exotic trinkets, a Ring, Amulet, and Accessory, with the name Mournstone that have the stats Power, Precision, Ferocity, and Condition Damage. Of these items only the 3 trinkets are immediately buyable, the armor and weapons saying you need to complete the corresponding collection achievement before they become purchasable. When speaking to the Stewart he then lists 7 different achievements, each involving a collection. The Seven Achievements-
- Walk the Land
- Glorify the Golden Heart
- Exaltation of the Guardians
- Washing the Brown
- The Collection of Tribute
- Recitation of the Litany of Deeds
- Triumph of ConquestsEach of the first 6 achievements listed above awards an armor box upon completion, the seventh being excluded from this. As of yet I do not know if you must complete every achievement before you are allowed to purchase any of the armor/weapons, or if after you complete one of the achievements it unlocks a corresponding armor box from the merchant so any further clarification would be wonderful to have on that matter. Also keep in mind to purchase anything from the Stewart requires Elegy Mosaics, which can only be acquired through completing Legendary Bounties.
Crystal Desert Reward Track:If you look at the link [here] you'll see that by completing the Reward Track in either WvW or PvP you can acquire Sunspear and Awakened weapons, in addition to Elonian, Bounty Hunter, and Warbeast armor. Thought this was worth a mention just in case people were wondering.
I know its a lot of text but I hope this helps out anyone whose been looking for some of the new skins and been stuck and I hope that if anyone notices anything I missed that they will share that information here on this thread so that we may all benefit from it. Thank you all and have a nice day~
